Permanent Way

Over the years since the formation of our club we have built up what is one of, if not the largest club operated in Australia. Our main line is around 5km's long as well as the various sidings, yards etc. Approximately 1/2 of the track runs through one of the few remaining natural wetland areas in the Perth metropolitan area and, while not in use every runday it provides a very scenic journey.
Signalling at Niana Station is by semaphore at the departure end with a colour light system slowly being installed at the arrival end with all cabling for this system now in place and signal heads manufactured. The signals themselves are removable and are three aspect showing red green and yellow. it is anticipated, that this system will be completely operational in the coming months.
Below is a map of our rail network

Small changes have been made since this map was drawn but it gives the general idea.
