Sunday October 12 saw Castledare Miniature Railway celebrate forty years of operation by holding a special runday to raise funds for Princess Margaret Hospital for Children.

The Studebaker car club paid us a visit on the day and put on a small display of about a dozen vehicles along with this we had a couple of craft stalls resuling in a good day being had by all who were there.

$2200 worth of much needed equipment has now been purchaced for the hospital because of the success of the day, our thanks to all who attended to make the daya god one.

The actual birthday celebrations were held on the Saturday with aproximately 70 people enjoying a day of playing trains and and a party atmosphere.
